Oil filters cartridges produced several years ago typically have a solid structure. Metal end caps and inner core produced out of perforated plate assure good compressive and temperature change resistance. Filter media made out of special filtering papers, based on cellulose fibres filtrate the oil efficiently and ensure the maintenance of its good properties while operating. Often, filtration media is protected from the outside by a screen made out of perforated paper or a steel net. Those screens, apart from protecting the pleats from a mechanical damage and sticking to each other, also stiffen the media partition preventing it from deformations. High utilisation cost and using environmentally friendly materials caused replacing these models by ECO cartridges which do not contain metal parts.
